  1. Dear TakeHome User:
  2.  
  3. This notice is to inform you of the new upgrade release of
  4. TakeHome... The Net Pay Calculator Version 4.0.  We would
  5. like to thank you again for registering your copy of the
  6. program.  Many TakeHome users have been letting us know what
  7. additional features they would like to program to do, and we
  8. have been listening!
  9.  
  10. In addition to the features in your present version of
  11. TakeHome, we have added the following to Version 4.0:
  12.  
  13. ■ TakeHome will now save data to your disk of the           
  14.      information you enter each time (gross wage, federal   
  15.      and state exemption status, Section 125 deduction,     
  16.      401(k) deduction, additional federal and state tax to  
  17.      be withheld, and the up to 9 "other deductions").  If  
  18.      you do not want the data saved, you can also select    
  19.      that option.  By saving the data, you do not need to   
  20.      enter the same basic information each time.
  21.  
  22. ■ You are now given the choice of entering your 401(k)      
  23.      deduction in the form of dollars or a calculated       
  24.      percent of your gross income.
  25.  
  26. ■ The 401(k) listing previously listed up to sixteen        
  27.      percent, but has now been raised up to forty-eight     
  28.      percent.
  29.  
  30. ■ You can also select between 401(k) or 403(b) nomenclature
  31.      to be listed on the screen and printed on the paystub.
  32.  
  33. ■ The program now exports data to a comma delimited ".PRN"  
  34.      file.  This data is a record of your most current entry
  35.      and the calculated taxes, which can be imported into a
  36.      Lotus worksheet or a database file.  This file is      
  37.      expanded each time you run the program so that if you  
  38.      maintain your records on a monthly or quarterly basis,
  39.      you do not need to update the worksheet or database    
  40.      after running TakeHome each time.

  42. ■ An optional .WK1 file is also available for storing the   
  43.      exported data, which will also compute unemployment and
  44.      employer FICA taxes.  It also keeps quarterly and year-
  45.      to-date totals of your data.  This optional worksheet  
  46.      includes the formatting for both Allways and Impress   
  47.      add-ins (if you use either one for distinctively       
  48.      printed worksheets).

  50. ■ A garnishment calculator has been added to figure any     
  51.      amounts to be withheld for I.R.S Tax Levy's or a 25    
  52.      percent of disposable earnings garnishment.
  53.  
  54. ■ Registered users of version 4.0 are eligible to           
  55.      participate in TakeHome's Commission Program.  You can
  56.      earn ten percent of each program that you have your    
  57.      friends, co-workers, relatives, etc. register with the
  58.      author of TakeHome. (See COMISION.DOC file)
  59.  
  60. Besides the above listed features, TakeHome has also been
  61. updated with the new 1991 FICA and federal tax tables.
  62.  
  63. The pricing structure for registering version 4.0 is $35 for
  64. the initial registration, $10 for each state and/or local
  65. customization, $20 for site licenses, and $10 for the .WK1
  66. worksheet files.  For an additional $5, you can receive a
  67. copy of the shareware version of TakeHome for distribution
  68. as outlined in the TakeHome Commission Program.  There is
  69. also a $5 shipping and handling charge for the upgrade and
  70. manual.

  72. TakeHome now offers 3 disk formats for you to choose from:
  73.      1)  5¼ inch (360K),
  74.      2)  5¼ inch (1.2MB), or
  75.      3)  3½ inch (740K),
  76. in which there is no additional charge for whichever format
  77. you choose.  With the disk options, TakeHome can now be run
  78. from any DOS compatible computer you may have.
  79.  
  80. Please note: Due to the size of the new version of TakeHome,
  81. it is recommended that you run the program using a computer
  82. with at least 512K of memory.  The program will run with
  83. less memory, but may stall when using some of the advanced
  84. functions.

  88. the customization and options that you want included, or run
  89. the Register Command from within TakeHome.
